First off, leaders don’t do shit really. Ai-chan said that herself in some interview.
The only things I know they do is…
…introduce the group during interviews and take the lead in them (like during those self-interviews as the KawaiiJapan ones on YT)
…sometimes attend meetings with UFA’s officials in case their schedules don’t allow the whole group to attend and then it’s up to the leader to let the rest of the members know what was said.
Leaders are just more a consultant for personal affairs between members…
They have no word in what their agency decides for the group whatsoever.

Now about Miya…
What many international fans don’t realize is that Saki basically admitted that Miya as been doing was she as Leader was supposed to.
You can even compare it to the AiRisa leadership
To me Captain has the same problem Ai had as a leader…
She doesn’t seem to take any initiatives and all that… she’s in the background and let’s the rest of the group do their thing.
Miya always seemed to be the one responsibe in a way…. like Risa. The one the members would go to if they didn’t know their schedule and stuff.
It becomes obvious when you watch the ChaChaSing Ameba Studio Ustream where Captain is the host…
She’s the host… but all she does is read the questions of the paper…
Miya is basically doing all the interacting with the group…
Captain wants to change her attitude now and be more in front of the group like a real leader.
